The International Hydropower Association (IHA) addresses the role of hydropower in meeting the world’s growing water and energy needs as
a clean, renewable and sustainable technology. With members in more than 80 countries, IHA is a non-governmental, mutual association of
organisations and individuals. Its membership is open to all those involved in hydropower.

The International Association of Hydraulic Engineering and Research (IAHR)
particularly promotes the advancement and exchange of knowledge
through working groups, specialty symposia, congresses, and publications on water resources, river and coastal hydraulics, risk analysis,
energy, environment, disaster prevention, industrial processes.

The International Commission on Irrigation and Drainage (ICID) The Mission of ICID is to stimulate and promote the development and application of the arts, sciences and techniques of engineering,
agriculture, economics, ecological and social sciences in managing water and land resources for irrigation, drainage, flood management and
river training applications, including research and development and capacity building for achieving sustainable irrigated agriculture.

International Association of Hydrological Sciences (IAHS) promotes the study of Hydrology as an aspect of the earth sciences and of water resources; study the hydrological cycle on the Earth;
study erosion and sedimentation; examine the hydrological aspects of the use and management of water resources;
provide a firm scientific basis for the optimal utilization of water resources systems.
